Used Tent Trailer- 1997 Coleman Westlake

Ebay Description:

This is a 1997 Coleman Fleetwood Series WESTLAKE Model camper. Officially sleeps eight. It has 2 king size beds and the kitchen table coverts down into another full size so LOTS of ROOM. The interior is very spacious so my family of 6 got around it fine. The top is the one piece seamless top which is extremely strong and no worries of any leaks.

As with a lot of campers, this was used ONLY 2 Times. I bought it about 2 years ago. This camper was storage for the last 9 years in a CLIMATE CONTROLED storage place. Vinyl floor is in MINT shape, stove, sink, toilet, shower etc. are MINT CONDITION ( Never Used still in bubble wraper since New from DEALER). Outside shower works as well. Interior is just PERFECT. No rips, tears or stains of ANY KIND in the upholstery anywhere. No tears in any of the plastic windows or screens.

Features include heater, 3 way refrigerator, electric brakes, crank down stabilizers with sand pads. Has current Pennsylvania tags and is ready to go! This camper has a shower, toilet built in.

I have checked the following systems and here are the results:

Tires are good and spare is excellent. I charged the battery overnight and left it with the three interior lights and the frig turned on and got cold on propane. Gas detector lights up. All burners on stove work. Little exterior light outside door works. Sink pump works (brand new). Trailer lights all work including brake and turn signals. The furnace kick on when I turned up the thermostat. I have all manuals for original equiptment.

Now, while the inside is near MINT, the outside awning is brand new ( never used). Poles for awning included. The lenght of the camper is 14 feet closed and open is 26 feet.

Our Take:

I personally own a 1998 Coleman Tent Trailer, same model though. The Westlake is just awesome. Especially the condition this one is in. To be 11 years old and only used a few times is a true gem. An added bonus is the camper was kept in storage out of the elements.

The only thing this one lacks is A/C, a must for the south. But it does have a heater, shower and toilet. Which are musts if you have kids, especially girls. Nothing is worse than having to take the kids to the public toilet in the middle of the night. Having one inside the camper is soooo nice.

Anyway, enough toilet talk. this one should go for a max around $3,500. I say that because of the condition. Yes, it is 11 years old, but the condition appears to be straight from the factory. Ideally, if you could walk away with this for $2,750 you would be getting a huge deal. Well worth the drive if you don’t live in the NJ area.
